Fixing The Future of Animal Welfare
At Big Lake Community Animal Clinic, we prioritize spay and neuter services because we believe it is the single most impactful way to improve animal welfare in our community.
By preventing unplanned litters, we reduce the number of pets entering already overburdened shelters, decrease euthanasia rates, and help ensure that every animal has the opportunity for a safe, loving home.
Spay and neuter also provide important health and behavioral benefits like reducing the risk of certain cancers, minimizing roaming and aggression, and helping pets live longer, healthier lives. That’s why we proudly partner with the Bissell Pet Foundation and fellow West Michigan shelters through the Fix the Future initiative.
Together, we are working toward a shared vision: a community where every pet is wanted, cared for, and valued. We truly believe that by investing in accessible, high-quality spay and neuter services for both owned and shelter pets, we are not just addressing today’s challenges, we are fixing the future of animal welfare.
